For your consideration one $3 BANK OF CHATTANOOGA note printed on the backs of obsolete $5 bank notes. Civil War dated August 1862. A very nice piece of paper with great color. The front shows two signatures in brown ink. Vignette is of a ship with two tall smoke stacks & an ocean going sailing ship in the back ground. The back shows a maiden covered by a flag with stars & a patriotic shield in front complete with an eagle to the side. Measures about 6 inches long.
